Who is Driver CPC for
Driver CPC in Hornchurch is for LGV & PCV drivers who drive professionally, commercially for reward & gain throughout the UK & is part of the EU Directive 2003/59. The courses are regularly updated to reflect new legislation and guidance in order to improve drivers’ knowledge & skill throughout their working lives. The Driver Certificate of professional competence came into effect for LGV drivers on the 10th September 2009 and from September 2008 for PCV drivers. All Lorry, Bus & Coach Drivers must undergo 35 hours of periodic Training every 5 years in order to maintain their licence.
All bus, coach and lorry drivers must complete 35 hours ( 5 days) of periodical Training. We offer a Dual Purpose Course at Robinson Training Services. This means that a 7-hour session is valid for all types of licenses, whether you are renewing your license or have acquired rights. Acquired rights are also known as (grandfather rights) which means that if you passed your car license before 1997 you will also hold a 7.5tonne license allowing you to do the 35 hours Period training – as-well as if you gained your HGV Licence before 2008 you will be entitled to do the periodic training, even if you have never held a CPC card before.If you still need help or have any questions, please call us at 01708868038. Initial LGV CPC in Hornchurch for New Driver – Module 2 Case Study & Module 4 Training with Test
The Module 2 and Module 4 LGV CPC in Hornchurch is for new drivers who have passed their practical test since 2009 & never held a CPC before. This CPC comes in two stages Module 2 is a multiple-choice theory test & Module 4 is a practical demonstration test. By completing these two parts you will gain your first CPC card which is Valid for 5 Years, within that 5 year period you must then complete the 35 hours of periodical training for your card to renew.
Module 2 Case Study
This will be taken at your local Pearson Theory Test Center near Hornchurch, The test is made up of 7 case studies you work through on a computer. The case studies are short stories based on situations that you’re likely to come across in your working life. You’ll be asked between 6 and 8 multiple-choice questions on each case study. The test will last 1 hour and 15 minutes and the pass score is 40 out 50. Module 2 must be completed before booking Module 4 as we need your pass number.

Module 4 Training & Test
This part is a demonstration of the daily vehicle checks and safe loading. This course includes full training & test which is carried out at our site in Purfleet, Essex.
