Who is Driver CPC for
Driver CPC in Newbury Park is for LGV & PCV drivers who drive professionally, commercially for reward & gain throughout the UK & is part of the EU Directive 2003/59. The courses are updated regularly inline with new legislation & guidance, to improve Drivers knowledge & skills throughout their working life. The Driver Certificate of professional competence came into effect for LGV drivers on the 10th September 2009 and from September 2008 for PCV drivers. All Lorry, Bus & Coach Drivers must undergo 35 hours of periodic Training every 5 years in order to maintain their licence.
All bus, coach and lorry drivers must complete 35 hours ( 5 days) of periodical Training. At Robinson Training services we do what is called a Dual Purpose course, this means when you sit a 7-hour day session with us & it will be valid for all license types that you hold, if you are renewing or if you hold acquired rights on your license. Acquired Rights, also known as grandfather rights, means that if your car license was obtained before 1997, you will also have a 7.5tonne license allowing you to complete the 35 hour period training. Initial LGV CPC in Newbury Park for New Driver – Module 2 Case Study & Module 4 Training with Test
Module 2 & Module 4 LGV CPC for new Drivers in Newbury Park is for candidates that have past their practical test after 2009 & have never held a CPC (also known as DQC Card) before. This CPC is divided into two stages. Module 2 is a multiple choice theory test and Module 4 is a demonstration test. After completing the two parts, you will receive your first CPC card in Newbury Park that is valid for 5 years. Within this 5 year period, you must complete 35 hours of periodic training to renew your card.
Module 2 Case Study
This will be taken at your local Pearson Theory Test Center near Newbury Park, The test is made up of 7 case studies you work through on a computer. The case studies are short stories based on situations that you’re likely to come across in your working life. Each case study will have between 6 and eight multiple-choice question. The test will last 1 hour and 15 minutes and the pass score is 40 out 50. Module 2 must be completed before booking Module 4 as we need your pass number.
