Who is Driver CPC for
Driver CPC in Witham is for LGV & PCV drivers who drive professionally, commercially for reward & gain throughout the UK & is part of the EU Directive 2003/59. The courses are regularly updated to reflect new legislation and guidance in order to improve drivers’ knowledge & skill throughout their working lives. The Driver Certificate of professional competence came into effect for LGV drivers on the 10th September 2009 and from September 2008 for PCV drivers. All Lorry, Bus & Coach Drivers must undergo 35 hours of periodic Training every 5 years in order to maintain their licence.
All bus, coach and lorry drivers must complete 35 hours ( 5 days) of periodical Training. We offer a Dual Purpose Course at Robinson Training Services. This means that a 7-hour session is valid for all types of licenses, whether you are renewing your license or have acquired rights. Acquired rights are also known as (grandfather rights) which means that if you passed your car license before 1997 you will also hold a 7.5tonne license allowing you to do the 35 hours Period training – as-well as if you gained your HGV Licence before 2008 you will be entitled to do the periodic training, even if you have never held a CPC card before.If you still need help or have any questions, please call us at 01708868038. Initial LGV CPC in Witham for New Driver – Module 2 Case Study & Module 4 Training with Test
Module 2 & Module 4 LGV CPC for new Drivers in Witham is for candidates that have past their practical test after 2009 & have never held a CPC (also known as DQC Card) before. This CPC is divided into two stages. Module 2 is a multiple choice theory test and Module 4 is a demonstration test. After completing the two parts, you will receive your first CPC card in Witham that is valid for 5 years. Within this 5 year period, you must complete 35 hours of periodic training to renew your card.
Module 2 Case Study
This test will be given at your local Pearson Theory Test Center in Witham. It consists of seven case studies that you must work through on the computer. The case studies are short stories based on situations that you’re likely to come across in your working life. You’ll be asked between 6 and 8 multiple-choice questions on each case study. The test lasts for 1 hour and 15 minutes, and the pass mark is 40 out of 50. You need to complete Module 2 before you can book your Module 4, as we will need your pass number.
